The spam keeps falling

Follow-up to My spam count is drastically reduced from Steve's blog

After dropping from 6300 in September last year to 1700 in June this year, the size of my gmail spambox has now fallen further, to just 1450 messages in the last 30 days. I guess it won’t be long before the tide turns, but nevertheless that is a major drop in volume. Is it just me, or is everybody seeing less spam at the moment?

    Mine fell earlier in the year but I think it’s rising again now. Admittedly this is partially because a lot of Facebook alerts were dropping into Spam until I changed my Gmail settings.

  1. My spam count is still falling...

    I don’t empty my gmail spam box. I rely on Google to delete stuff older than 30 days. That means the message count in there is a good way of keeping an eye on how much spam I’m being sent. A little over 12 months ago there were 1400 mess...
