Morning Diversions
Just for a change from lucnhtime and evening excursions, I have recently been taking some longer routes to work in the mornings. Yesterdays diversion was via Kenilworth, specifically Cromwell Lane, Red Lane, Birminghan Road, Beehive Hill, Upper Spring Lane, Coventy Road/Kenilworth and Gibbet Hill Road. A nice 6.8 mile run that takes me about 28 minutes:

This morning's was just a longer version. Rather than turning from Cromwell Lane into Red Lane, carry straight on into Hob Lane, at the end turn left on Windmill Lane and then left again onto Birmingham Road, then when you eventually get to Beehive Hill, pick up yesterday's route. 9.5 miles this time, which took me 41 minutes this morning.

The left turn from Windmill Lane unto Birmingham Road can be a challenge on a bike in the mornings. It might be easier to turn right at the end of Hob Lane, then left unto Waste Lane, and finally turn left onto Birmingham Road at the traffic lights. And this has the extra benefit of adding a bit more distance! Should be a nice 10 mile run with this extra bit.
Time to think of something a bit different for tomorrow morning…
