Evening excursions
At the moment it is a bit too hot at lunchtimes for serious cycling, so I've taken to going out in the evenings instead. Things have usually cooled off nicely by 8ish, leaving about an hour and a half before you need to think about lights. More than enough for me. This evening's trip was an 11 mile circuit taking in Berkswell, Balsall Common, Kenilworth and Burton Green, taking about 47 minutes:

One added benefit of going out at this time of day is that you get to cycle past views like this:
