   I think everyone should make an informed choice, but not voting means you don't get a say in things that will affect your life.

   You may say that you never go out into the union, but the union is more than just a place to get drunk. Its about all the societies, your degree, your welfare. Its there to support, encourage and make your university experience as enjoyable as possible.

   I know the campaigning can be annoying, but its only one week in every year for which you get all the benefits of a union controlled by, you, the students.

9. This year has seen a huge increase in turnout, both in elections and referenda and at Union General Meetings. Because of this, the University take the possibility of collective student action more seriously, and have given the Union and student representatives this year far more respect that was previously the case. Obviously, I'd love it if people voted for me, but the most important thing is that they vote, giving even more momentum to the re-engagement of students in their Union.
