The ideal inbox

Writing about an entry you don't have permission to view

In the same spirit as Chris May's recent efforts, I unleashed a purge on my inbox.

Just one email

If it were completely empty, it would look like a fake. I should add that the emails that I have just deleted were where necessary responded to. And furthermore, I do get some very interesting emails from some very interesting people. However, I am making an effort to encourage people to use appropriate channels of communication, such as this blog (when responding to specific ideas), the E-learning at Warwick forum or other forums, telephone, and better still, personal contact (see me in Raffles, University House cafe, Xanana's etc).

Another part of the solution is to have a convenient but capable tool for recording the information contained in the emails that get deleted. For this I use the MindMananager concept mapping tool.
