E–learning Advisor covered in whipped cream, ALT–C 2004, Day 1

Follow-up to Great curry blogged – ALT–C 2004, Day 0 from Transversality - Robert O'Toole

Don't get the wrong idea! It was the result of a feeding frenzy during a break in the ALT conference. Several of these large trays full of utterly delicious cakes were laid out for our enjoyment. We attacked them imediately, eating 3/4 of a tray between us. In the ensuing feast Chris managed to cover my shoulder with whipped cream.

The chocolate and orange cakes were particularly fine.

Chris was furious at losing part of her cake!

  2. I like the way it's only Steve having a go at these and there are quite a few missing already!

I did mention that it seems to be me on the end of all the 'camera jokes'. The little vanilla slices WERE extremely moreish though.

Fisherman do not dance around other people's handbags.

..fishermen, rather. I can't type today; I have been taking copious notes (John) on my PDA all day and my hand is aching from trying to write on a screen equivalent in a size to a Post-It.

  8. The plural of 'handbags' is concerning me in a group consisting of only one female.

As ALT is now a female dominated organisation (ooh er), the conference bags that were handed out to us to carry the various booklets and documents are in fact lovely black handbags. Steve C looks quite cute carrying one. Chris C has offered to lend us all items from the extensive wardrobe (3 cases full) that she brought with her.

If writing on a tiny screen all day long is wearing your hand out, I'm happy to sign off an a nice big A4 pad for you; no batteries, super-high resolution, easy to back up, freely intermingle text and graphics. Tempted?

Very, but I feel an obligation to stick with the technological 'solution'. Whether that's to the point where my fingers become useless is debatable though.
