Free Hugs!
Watching this made me laugh and almost cry, because metimes you just feel a bit low and you need a hug to sort you out and when I was in China there were a lot of times that I wanted a hug and there was no one around to hug me! And I think if I’d seen someone offering free hugs I would have been there.

That is amazing :) I love hugs so much (and apparently I give great hugs) its tempting to do it. Or just up my quota of hugs that I give out each day.

Good hugs and huggers are worth their weight in gold. Some people are all arms and bones… not good. Other people excellent!!

Discriminating against people because they don’t naturally have a good hugging physique seems a bit mean, I say free hugs for all!

Admittedly there is a potential for abuse, but not in this case!

So, who’s going to have a sign ready for tomorrow?
See you on the piazza?

Thank you for this post. It seems rather appropriate.

Loved this – thanks for the link. I know what you mean about being somewhere where physical contact was rare… but we all need it!! My son’s favourite word when he was 3 was ‘Big Hug’ (Teletubbies have the right idea!).

Hmmm free hugs for the people with dialup who don’t have a couple of days to wait for the video to load?

People with dial-up miss out…. on the terrible music! It makes it really unbearable to watch!
It must be one of the few posters featuring the word FREE with no queue next to it!

You’ll have to get broadband then won’t you! It’ll be worth it. And not just for the free hugs. I like the music though, and the colour transition :)

Nothing better than free hugs. I love it.
Don’t you think it must be a “Free Hugs Club”. We really really need this.

I love the moving pictures! I love the music!I love “free hugs”!
I have seen it for several times. It does make me cry.
As I am new here, living in a foreign country, I sometimes feel lonely and homesick. But I feel so lucky that I can meet so many kind-hearted people who would like to help me. Although most of them don not help me through hugs, I do enjoy talking and living with them in this society! Today, I just received a hug which showed friendship. I love it.
By the way, do not lose confidence in Chinese people.Actually, they are always would like to help others, but because of cultural shocks, they are just not ready to hug you. But just tell your heart to them, they will return everything you need!
I am so sure just because I am Chinese.
Next time, come to China, I will give you free hugs whenever you need!

I’ve gotta try that. I see no reason not to after all (see my first post concerning how to decide whether or not to act on an impulse). Anyone know where I can get a sufficiently big piece of card?

Maybe get an old cardboard box from the supermarket and just flatten it?

I am jealous of the talk about the video. Because I cannot see it. I demand a hug. And money. And icecream please.
