Noise per Litre
Follow-up to Warwick Motorsport takes in a dose of F1 goodness (aka ear damage) from nathanielho.com :: blog
If an F1 engine makes 130dB of noise from 2.4 litres.
That means the new V8's are quite efficient at 54dB/litre :D
hmm ear damage

Christopher Sigournay
I could have sworn I heard that the V10's peaked at 165dB. They were definitely louder, even if probably less efficient per litre ;–)
I wonder what the European HSE has to say about F1 engines and ear damage.
