Changes at National Library for Health
Writing about web page http://www.evidence.nhs.uk
We have just recieved this information from Beth Hall in the the Medical School:
On the 30 April 2009, the National Library for Health was replaced by NHS Evidence, a new service provided by NICE which will develop, enhance and expand the services that were previously provided by the National Library for Health. Release 1 of the NHS Evidence portal and search engine went live on 30 April 2009 at www.evidence.nhs.uk
All the specialist libraries, including Diabetes and Emergency Care (which are managed and run from Warwick Medical School), will be known as specialist collections and have changed their names:
The Diabetes Specialist Library will now be known as NHS Evidence – diabetes
The Emergency Care Specialist Library will now be known as NHS Evidence – emergency and urgent care
You will continue to be able to access all the content and features. The existing URLs for the collections will remain for now, but are likely to change later in the year as the specialist collections become fully integrated with the NHS Evidence portal.
