Unlimited login slots for SciFinder Scholar

Writing about web page http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/library/main/tealea/sciences/scifinder/

Staff and students of the University now have unlimited access to SciFinder Scholar, the online version of Chemical Abstracts, giving information about journal articles, conference papers and patents, with links to the full text if the Library has a subscription. A very powerful research tool, it covers not just chemistry but other scientific subject areas including biomedical sciences, engineering, life sciences, materials science, environmental sciences and global warming. Depending on your interests and level of expertise you can search by keyword or explore chemical substances and reactions, and can set up "Keep me posted" alerts to keep up-to-date with new publications.

SciFinder can be accessed from the Library's Key Electronic Resources for Engineering page http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/library/main/tealea/sciences/scifinder/

or from the alphabetical list of databases on the Library Catalogue page http://webcat.warwick.ac.uk/search~S1/v

New users will need to register. Onscreen help is available while searching or users can watch videos and podcasts outlining key SciFinder developments. A training session was held for the Chemistry department in September and similar sessions can be arranged for other departments if there is sufficient interest. Please contact me if you would like more information.
