Introduction to my Tuesday morning SII blog

This blog is intended to facilitate communication between me and my two Tuesday morning SII tutorial classes. Depending on whether you are in my Tuesday 9:00 or 10:30 class, you should see a second entry above entitled "Tutorial one" or "Tutorial two." If you cannot see one of these entries, this means that I have not received your login name. In order to gain access to this entry you should email your login name (and not your password!) to me. Once you have access you can respond to this entry if you have any queries relating to the content or the administration of the SII module. A blog is useful in that it saves me having to answer questions more than once. Furthermore, I hope that it will facilitate and supplement discussion in the class, to the extent that you will be able to respond to both my comments and the comments of others in the class. Check this page periodically for updated comments and, before you post a question, make sure that it has not been answered in one of the earlier threads. Use the blog search engine on the left to see if there are any comments on the issue that concerns you. Also, before you ask a question about SII essay topics and submission dates, make sure that the information is not already available on the SII webpage.

Note that the SII first term reading week has been changed to week 5. There will therefore be no tutorial classes on Tuesday 1 November.
