Jury Duty
I've been selected for jury duty :)
I've gotta defer it to a later date in the next 12 months since they've called me up for a week before the start of term (and they typically want you for two weeks), but you'd best hope you've not got a friend or relative at a Crown Court near me at some point soon or they're going down for LIFE!

They’re pretty irritating about the whole deferral thing, you’re going to need a solid excuse to get off it.
As for the case… its more likely to involve thieving crackheads rather than serial killers.

I’m on Jury duty from the 14th of August – I had no problems deferring. They get arsey if you want to dodge it all together

Well, I don’t know any of you and I was selected for jury duty also. I am supposed to report 27 August 07, for court in Georgia. I have a long-standing trip planned and we are supposed to leave town the 22nd of August. My daughter just had our first grandchild and this will be the first time I am able to see her. This is our first and only opportunity to go and see them this year. I need a deferral also! Does anyone know what I should do?
