Why I will never be on the Apprentice

There are lots of reasons. The main one of course being that I wouldn’t want to work for Alan Sugar. I mean, it’s very unlikely that I would ever meet him in day-to-day work, grunt that I am. It’s just that if his organisations are anything like him, they’re…mean. And mercenary, though most organisations are mercenary. But mean.

Seriously, I know he’s at his most bombastic self for the programmes, but he’s not a real ‘soft skills’ kind of fella.

Fantastically…financially successful, and more power if that’s what he wants in life, but…

Well, I just don’t love money enough to be on The Apprentice. I don’t like people frightening me into working with them. I don’t like team working out of fear.

That’s why I really liked Lucinda. Ok, so she was zany and it was evident a mile off that she wouldn’t fit neatly into one of Sralan’s organisations. But she was fun. And she was good management, even if her visible teamwork was a bit lacking.

I also liked that she added a bit of colour to proceedings. Ok, the clashing berets were a bit much, but hey, this was lovely:

And now she has a really nice hairdo too!

I salute you, Lucinda, even if you got bullied and cried a lot. Next time employ Voice of Steel (practice first) and you’ll get by just fine.

Also: Don’t worry, you made it further than Michael.

My Mum liked Lucinda too, I’m not really sure why, in fact I’m not really sure she liked her that much, only that she liked her more than the others who she thinks are a bit moronic and she wouldn’t trust them as far as she could throw them. She’s rather an attractive woman with a nice figure and I noticed that most of the judges said that she was highly intelligent so I’ll take their word for it although there wasn’t much evidence of it shown on screen, of course we never no how much is edited out. But I agree with you about Sir Alan, he doesn’t come over as that likeable and I wouldn’t want to work in the cut-throat world that he inhabits.

She was mostly useless and whined all the time. Absolutely terrible. Sugar is often a bit silly (he thought an inventive idea for a greeting card was “I’m sorry your son’s been knifed”: dolt), but she deserved to go ages ago. For being rubbish.

  3. I’ve been a bit disappointed with the Apprentice this series, to be honest. They’re almost universally incompetent, maybe a couple of people who can actually…do stuff. They’ve been chosen for good TV rather than expertise, I think, or they just suck when the pressure’s on.

I mean, most of the time, seriously, the task was won because the other team screwed up really badly as opposed to just quite badly. Sigh.
