The Exegesis Fairy is moving!

The Exegesis Fairy is in transition to Blogger at the moment, my fair chickadees.

So, if you want to listen to my latest ramblings, I suggest that you skidaddle to The Exegesis Fairy mark 2 at blogspot.

See you there!

There will be intermittent entries here until the end of term, but after that, it’s goodbye Warwick!

    If you leave me now
You’ll take away the biggest part of me
Ooh ooh ooh no baby please don’t go

And if you leave me now
You’ll take away the very heart of me
Ooh ooh ooh no baby please don’t go

    Ooh ooh ooh girl
I just want you to stay

Love like ours is love thats hard to find
How could we let it slip away.
    We’ve come too far
    to leave it all behind
How could we end it all this way

When tomorrow comes and we both regret
    the things we said today.

I had a downloading music session last night and this one by Chicago seemed the most appropriate. Sometimes it’s nice to listen to music that you’d almost forgotten about but was there somewhere in the back of your mind. It’s something I’ve always liked doing and seeing a deaf comedian recently brought this home to me even more because he went deaf when he was eighteen and all his musical memories are up until that time. It was very poignant and seemed very intimate because it took place in a very small theatre and several times he made eye contact with me to the extent that I began to think that he might be using me as a gauge to see how his performance was going because of course he wasn’t getting much audible feedback. I was only about six rows back so that was probably the reason. My sister always likes to sit very near the front when she goes to the theatre “Within spitting distance of the actors” as she calls it (she means that she can see them spit when they talk sometimes). Amongst the others I downloaded were:-
    Wonderful Land … The Shadows
Holsts The Planets – Jupiter- The Bringer of Jollity… The London Symphony Orchestra
High in the Sky… Amen Corner
If Paradise is Half as Nice… Amen Corner
    I’m A Believer… The Monkees

I know some of them are a bit naff but for some reason I was feeling quite patriotic last night. If you don’t want your blog here any more, I’d love to have it. I’m off to the gym with my updated Ipod. Bye

  7. Hey Sue,

Gosh, that was a hurtle down musical memory lane!

My blog is moving because I’m graduating, and I haven’t joined the WGA, so my blog is automatically closed. I think it can still be seen, but no more posts after July 16th.

And so off I trot to pastures new!
