By me, back in the day.

Bubbles

I just found this – I wrote it a couple of years ago. Thought it was kinda cool and am quite proud! A bit soppy but hey, it was the mood I was in at the time! It might just have been inspired by you Elizabeth ;-) xx

Bubbles

In short, the poem describes the uncontrollable event of finding romance. The basic image is that everyone is inside their own bubble, including the writer.

Drifting endlessly,
Hibernating and sleeping,
Floating fate. Simply
Dreaming about future circumstance.

Watching beauties,
Undulating perfectly,
Reacting and interacting. Wondrously
Gazing at multitudes of delicate dancers.

Considering impossibilities,
Searching endlessly,
Awaiting my equilibrium. Controlled
Designing cannot be conscious effort.

Suffocating in my bubble,
Gasping for air,
Gazing out. Fingers
Running down the impervious flimsy film.

Touching another!
Drifting bubbles merge,
Reaching through flimsy film. Hands
Holding mine, grasping!

Breaking together,
Absorbing each other gradually,
Enclosing us. A chemical bond
Bringing us closer as internal walls break.

Singing similarities,
Sensing harmony tentatively,
Stepping inside. Imperfections –
They were swirling, rippling charms to be ignored.

Roughness

I feel rough :-( Boogie Nights was awesome though, so I don't regret it!

Can anyone suggest a remedy?

Update: What?! Cocktail sausages helped?! How very strange. I also just put some chicken enchiladas in the oven. I need a proper meal!

Uh oh…

I think I'm addicted to Big Brother already! Yes I know, it's shocking and embarrassing, and saying this will probably greatly diminish many peoples' opinions of me. Sorry.

How well do you know me?

My Quiz

UPDATE: One of the people who took the quiz claim to be called Ranko Lazic, my lecturer for Programming Language Design and Semantics. Who the hell posed as Ranco Lazic? And who do i know who knows that I do that module and would bother to find out who the lecturer was? Aaaaargh! Must've been someone from comp sci… something tells me it wasn't Ranko himself.

Speak up, whoever you are!!

Ranko, if you are reading this because you did a name search on google or found it by some other means, I'm sorry that this was a top result. And can I just say that I greatly enjoyed the course – you're a really good lecturer! Shame I didn't give myself enough time to revise :-(

24 hours

In 24 hours I finish my degree. Wow.

Well, just as long as my life isn't like Jack Bauer's, that should be fine.

Dog

I just had a barking match with a dog and had the last bark. HAH!

*woof!*

I want to write poetry

If I had the time, I'd write a rhyme.

No seriously, I really want to spend some time to write something right now. Feckin exams.

VLSI = Very Bad.

CORDIC what!?!?

These lecture notes MAKE NO SENSE.

VLSI = Bad

Well, I was thinking that VLSI was going to be okay since the lecturer was pretty good and nice and jolly, and I understood a lot of the stuff in the lectures. But that doesn't mean shit when you come to do revision.

It turns out that the notes make no sense on their own whatsoever (what's with all those random diagrams and equations and stuff?!), and not even the £58 book is helping at all. I'm shitting myself. I think I'll possibly get around 25% if I'm lucky. But that would require me to know a quarter of the course! Hah! Oh dear.

Anyone else crapping themselves about VLSI? Is anyone not crapping themselves about it? Teach me, please!

:-(
