   I could write a book on the ill-advisedness of compulsory water fluoridation. For four years I have made a special study of the controversy surrounding the fluoridation of our public water supply in Coventry and in the West Midlands. I have found no evidence to support its effectiveness, its safety or its morality. To be forced to accept an untested, unpurified compulsory medicinal substance which is a waste product from the stack of a phosphate fertiliser factory is a scandal. Yet the Water Act 2003 has unwisely given the SHAs the right to hold consultations with the public and then to ignore their viewpoints if the SHAs believe it to be in the public interest to fluoridate water. Surely this runs counter to the Human Rights Act?

   Water fluoridation consultations are now embedded in UK law, yet SHAs can only hope to receive opinions from a minority. If that minority is only slightly more numerous than the representatives of the silent majority, the minority’s voice will be recorded and fluoridation will take place so that millions of people will have to drink the toxin. How can you avoid tap water?

   This is democracy? Democracy is dead.

   Matthew, that’s a very vague, futilistic argument. Fluoride is certainly dangerous, it should not be deliberately put in our water supply.

   Can we have coherance, if not we are well and truly lost!...I feel ‘waterboy’ needs his mouth washing out with 50ppm of fluoride, this will then make him think more of himself as it’s apparent he’s only thinking of the nation—-I think?...Fluoride comes from industrial plants making alluminium, since when has a by-product like this been used to give you better health?...Alluminium is also used to clear the water to make you feel/think it’s healthy to drink, this also a toxic. The gov’t are about to add hefty taxes to bottled water to make us drink tap water by the way. You cannot tell if you have fluorosis of teeth unless you extract it, carve it up and add chemicals to it, this is expensive and the NHS are not doing this and whilst they are not, no real proof will every come forward on the efficacy of this poison. A simple test on fluoride in your body is being ignored by the NHS as to prove against their theory would be fatal to their BIG PLANN!...I have spoken to proffessors of dentistry and they say their real concern is the other stuff that gets into the water and whilst we recirculate our water we are stuck with it all, so if you get rid of fluoride, you then have a hundred more things below that to worry about, but we could start there could we not?!..Too much fluoride also causes bad behaviour in people, they get agitated at the slightest thing, like reading about subjects they know little/nothing about, so they…....I will leave waterboy to finish the sentence!
