I love the way it will let you scroll off the side of America and there is just ocean and nothing else…forever. Americans eh :)

Nice. I like the way it scrolls when you move up or down, then fills in the missing bit. It's much more intuitive than other map services like Multimap, where the whole page is redrawn when you click the arrows, so you lose track of where you were.

Ooh, and you can drag around the map with your mouse as well as using the on-screen arrows. And it supports key presses too (arrow keys to move, and plus or minus to zoom in or out). Truly Google are the masters of javascript.

Cool, I didn't notice that. As Kieran said, it is rather amusing how the US is floating entirely alone in the ocean:)

Just had a go at this; the interface is really intuitive and the caching works well too; the lack of 'redraw' and the clever scrolling are very nice indeed. I also like the route planner graphics.
