Asset management and outsource

While studying the facilities management and more specific outsourcing, and after a discussion with my group members I was considering whether a company can outsource the whole asset management.

For managing assets a company should concider all the aspects into an integrated workplace strategy. That means that if the company decides to outsource the whole asset management it should provide the other company with a huge amount of information which is really risky for a company to do so.

I don't know but for me if i had a company I was going to think about it a lot before making this step because the other company would had to know my company's needs, objectives and strategies; my company's costs, quality of products or services, contracts, systems, processes, suppliers, competitive advantages, competitors and relations.... everything.

Isn't that risky?

I know that the organisation should develop good relations with the other company but again this doesn't mean that the risk of information to be leaked is eliminated.

So what do you think about it?
