Finally, after ten episodes, Lost is beginning to get good. I started watching it from the beginning, having nothing better to do, and amazingly, I've seen every episode, despite not having found it that exciting or entertaining. It may have had something to do with Freckles (pictured). But I'm glad I stuck with it because its quality has risen sharply over the past three or so weeks. Firstly, it found (and thereafter maintained) a sense of humour when they built the golf course. And now the marooned* have found they're not alone on the island, there's been a lot more drama - the highlight being last week's cliffhanger involving Ethan. How class was that?! And the one on E4 last night - I was so worried about the guy from Hetty Wainthrop Investigates. With thrills and spills like this, it's unlikely that they're gonna slow the pace by having John Locke introduce a system of property rights – as much as I'd appreciate that.
Oh, and while I'm here: I will be there tomorrow for Crash, and the next day for the RaW thing. So, you know, lock up your daughters and that.
*Reminds me of a Ronnie Barker joke, God rest his soul, greatest comedy actor of his generation, "what, with these feet?", etc.
