Tom and Dan in the Afternoon

Writing about Ben n Andy Show from The Land of the Bashmore

There's a new sound coming to your Friday lunchtimes on RaW. The student station's very own dinosaurs of radio, Tom Besly and Daniel Wilson Craw, are finally joining forces for the sake of Primetime. Together these audio alchemists will forge from RaW's leaden equipment nothing short of Radio Gold.

Among the many reasons to listen tomorrow, I feel this one is the most exciting: only an interview with Pope-elect, Benedict XVI! Yeah yeah, he was already interviewed on Ben's show yesterday, but he enjoyed the experience so much that he wants to give RaW more of his precious time! We like this guy already! How many interviews did JP give us? Yeah, just the one. In twenty seven years.

I don't know if we can make the interview more controversial than the man himself, but by God we'll try.

Listen to Tom and Dan in the Afternoon - Fridays from 1 to 3 - on 1251am, the web, in Cholo, or, indeed, the launderette

A Statement by the Conservative Party on the Reinstatement of Carter's Blog

Follow-up to Shameless Bandwagon–Jumping from Esprit de l'escalier

Hullo, students of Warwick – it's Michael Howard again!

Before I get down to business, may I just say how impressed I am by the way my fellow Conservitives have taken hold of Warwick Blogs, with your very own Maggie Junior at the forefront. My editor tells me he won the argument, but you did your best.

On to more serious matters: it seems that my cause celebre, Mr Chris Carter, has been givin his blog back. Before you go thinking that I am happy with this turn of events, think again. This is nothing but a disgrace. My party pledged that once we were back in power on May 6th, we would restore Mr Carter's ability to blog in a victory for freedom of speech. But it seems that Blair's bureaucrats in Whitehall [surely University House? Ed.] have denied me the glory of doing so, stripping me of my right to make a martyr out of this brave, outspoken lad.

Not that it matters; us Tories have a knack of turning such campaigning setbacks to our advantage and it just so happens that a survey we conducted in the past week (among Daily Express readers) has conclusively proven that the majority of voters wanted to see Mr Carter banned after all! So today, the Conservative Party announce a new policy: when in power, we will demand that Chris Carter and anyone else who peddles offensive and degenerate views on the internet will be banned from doing so, thus shielding you, the decent, ordinary people of Great Britain, from such filth.

Are we thinking what you're thinking?
because if not, tell us - then we'll see what we can do
