More new shoes

Follow-up to New Shoes! Inov8 RocLite 315 review from Secret Plans and Clever Tricks

So, my favourite online shoe shop got back in touch, and said “We liked your Roclite review, want to do another one for us?”

Hmm, I said to myself, a new pair of trainers, or maybe some boots for the winter? Just then, my lovely wife observed “I could do with some winter boots; maybe I could do the review…”

I acquiesced, figuring that cold feet were, in this case, probably a price worth paying.

We managed to create something of a faff ordering them; FitnessFootwear.com have a pretty huge range of waterproof boots, but the Caterpillar’s that she originally chose didn’t fit her unreasonably-narrow feet. However, FF’s customer service swang into action with an alternative recommendation, and rather soon, a pair of these splendid creatures arrived:

Hi-Tec St. Moritz, to be precise. Predictably, they arrived just barely in time to catch the last of the cold weather, so the testing hasn’t yet been very extensive, but so far we can report that they
  • Fit narrow feet well
  • Are splendidly warm and toasty
  • Look great.

I’ll report back on how they work in actual real snow, just as soon as we find some :-)
