20 Things about Me in 20 Days - #3

I have a suitcase full of really cool (though increasingly un-cool, such are the ways of fashion) clothes which I bought on the basis that I was going to be able to get into them quite soon.

They were mostly bought in New York because they were ridiculously cheap -- and I couldn't bear to think of buying all those things at give-away prices for my current size, only to have to discard them because I had lost weight.

So jeans (lots of these), shorts, T-shirts and shirts (some not so cheap but irresistably classy) have been hauled across the Atlantic and now await a major fall in my waist and collar sizes.

Not that this is at all a futile project. Since carrying out this profound vote of confidence in my own future health and appearance, I have lost no small number of pounds and inches. The trouble is, not enough yet to break open the suitcase and turn campus into a cat-walk.

But it will happen. Soon. Then this will become something about me in the past tense (like the time I fell asleep on the New York subway).
