Eddie Iz Sport Relief Challenge
Writing about web page http://www.comicrelief.com/donate/eddie
Eddie Izzard, fabulous comedian and absolute gentleman. Offical website claims
He is the first to admit that he gets well paid for talking total bollocks. The good pay is because unlike the bollocks most of us talk, it's funny.
Not previously known for his athleticism Eddie has done what he does best
turned convention on it's head
for the past few weeks he has been on an alternative UK tour doing a bit of running for charity. So now after 4 billion, correction, 42 marathons, he will have a party in Trafalgar Square * yay *
Update: job done time to sleep!

So how did this happen?
Eddie Iz told Sport Relief: I wanted to try to run around the whole of the UK. London to Cardiff to Belfast to Edinburgh and back to London, running through as many parts of the UK that lie in between our 4 capitals.
They said great. You're nuts.
Eddie Iz said yes but that never hurt.
Sport Relief said how far is this?
Eddie Iz said 1100 miles. I will try to run 30 miles a day for 6 days a week. It will probably take 7 weeks....
Along with many others (including over 1 million followers on Twitter) I have been following his steps with great and growing admiration for this truely awesome effort, here's how...

HIGH, HIGH, HIGH!
Writing about web page http://www.justgiving.com/cath2006/
Heh ho lets go!!!!
Such a high of a day, smashed my personal best by 1/2 an hour!
The damp conditions didn't put a dampner on the day, and my lovely brother in law has just coughed up £50 on the wager that i wouldn't finish in under 4 hours :D
Now enjoying a lovely bread and wine supper back in Cov. ;–)

FLM – putting the fun into fundraising…
Follow-up to Excitement, anticipation, nerves and fear! from Cath's Blog
For some reason the word insanity keeps popping up in my inbox? ;–)
After months of training I need to push hard for the £1500 fundraising target…
I've finally (at the 11th hour) had a bit of inspiration on the raffle/prize draw thing.
The logistics involved in a one day campus wide raffle are just too scary for words.
Also, the potential both for prize donor publicity and level of fundraising simply too limited for my target amount.
So I've grabbed on inspiration from a charity quiz that I had a bit of fun helping to complete last Sunday….
I'm going to create a virtual pub quiz, with some reasonably tricky questions, and charge £1 an entry.
Action plan as follows
BONUS early bird draw
Prizes (x5): *Get fit for summer with a sports coaching course
GRAND DRAW after May Bank Holiday
Watch this space for further details of prizes
*BIG THANK YOU to Sports Centre. Winners would have a choice: rock climbing, swimming, squash, tennis, golf.
Membership of Warwick Sport NOT included.
