gathering for 2012 Lantern Festival

Dear all,

Happy Lantern Festival!

As the spring is approaching, it is with great pleasure to invite you to celebrate our first festival after our New Year at Grad Deck on next Sunday 12th February.

Date: 12 February 2012

Venue: Grad deck

Time: 15.00pm – 20:00pm

Food: Bring and Share

Fee: as usual (member 50p, non-member £2, children free)

It is a ‘Bring and Share’: Special Dishes and Delicious and foods are welcome to bring in and share between families and friends. In order to celebrate the ‘Lantern Festival’, we will have some fun making our own hand-made Yuanxiao on the site. Girls and mums, please prepared to join in. Boys and Daddies are also welcome.

As half-term is the on the same week, I have booked a bit long so our children can have plenty of fun and no worries for next school day. Enjoy!

In order to prepare food and drinks, please confirm your attendance by next Thursday 9th February at the latest.

热热闹闹过春节

春节是中国最富有特色的传统节日，我们考文垂的华人家庭又聚在了一起，举行龙年新春聚会。新老朋友欢聚一堂，结识友人，互赠祝福，在享用丰富的精美佳肴之余，又观赏了小朋友们精心准备的精彩表演，并贴福字，收红包，发礼品，放鞭炮，过了一个年味十足的龙年聚会。

“爆竹声中一岁除，春风送暖入屠苏。千门万户瞳瞳日，总把新桃换旧符”。新年很重要的一项是贴春联，贴福字，挂吉祥物。大家都带来了春联，福字，挂件，一起来装饰我们的会场。

我们还准备了各种颜色的彩纸，小朋友们一起参与动手，做彩纸串，东西简单却饱含喜庆和热闹。

品美食，喝美酒

面对各家带的拿手好菜，大家早已经把“节制”抛于脑后，和着美酒，品尝着亲手包的各种馅的饺子，和酣畅淋漓的佳肴，举杯同庆，大饱口福！

大家准备的丰盛晚餐。

小朋友们大朋友们也都穿上了特色唐装，红红火火，相当地喜庆。

欣赏表演

中文学校的小朋友们给大家带了一个“好运财运一起来”的舞蹈，希望在新的一年里，祝福大家都会像歌名一样，好运财运一起来！！

老师们挑灯夜战一直忙到深夜，为聚会上的舞蹈准备道具。

小朋友们不辞辛苦，下课后还留在学校反复练习直到熟练。

大家在聚会上都非常开心，有说有笑。小朋友们给爷爷奶奶爸爸妈妈叔叔阿姨拜了年，祝新年快乐，身体健康。爷爷奶奶也为每个小朋友派发红包，把美好的祝愿和幸福的好运带给小朋友们。

发新年礼品

过新年，收礼品。小朋友们都收到了各种小礼品，一个个都很高兴，很兴奋。

鞭炮贺新春。

春节放鞭炮，作为欢度春节的习俗，我们也要当仁不让，放放喜庆喜庆。但放鞭炮又很危险，组织者灵机一动，找到了更好的替代品，小彩炮，有鞭炮的气氛，也有彩纸的喜庆，更有安全的保护。小朋友们都争先恐后放一放。

再安心的流浪也想有个温暖的港湾，再惬意的漂泊也渴望志同道合的朋友。虽然没有震耳欲聋爆竹的声声辞旧岁，但是有我们喜庆的小彩炮，虽然没有大型春节晚会的联欢场面，但是我们有小朋友精心准备的节目，虽然没有国内新年的热闹，但我们在这里，有家人，有朋友，有美酒，有佳肴，共享家的温馨与快乐，共享年的喜庆和团圆！

Party for Chinese New Year of Dragon

Dear all,

Chinese New Year is fast approaching, we’d like to invite you to celebrate
New Year of Dragon together. We will try our very best to make this a
memorable Spring Festival for us all, especially for our children. There
will be performances from the children, good food, and some surprises for
the children…

To be able to achieve this, we will need contributions from you all:

Food – Bring and Share: Please bring enough food for your family, Dumpling
is preferred (homemade or ready-made); Or your traditional food for Spring
festival are also very welcomed.

Performance: If you can, please help your child(ren) to prepare a little
performance (a song, poem, dance, instruments,...). Performance from adults
are also very welcomed. Please confirm your performance with the organiser.

Dress: Put on your traditional Chinese outfit if you have any.

Cost: £0.50 per member, £2.00 per non-member, children free. Costs are
needed for sharing of drinks, snacks, children’s little presents, plates,
cups, cutlery…

The membership of CCFA is still open. If you are interested in becoming a
member, please feel free to ask for more details on site.

We will also be holding the next election for CCFA committee on the day.

龙年元旦聚会游戏篇

聚会上我们在品尝美食之前，做了两个亲子小游戏。

第一个游戏是：妈妈背着宝宝踩气球

玩法：每个家长脚上绑四个气球，并背着孩子，听到裁判口令后比赛开始，各家庭就去踩别人脚上的气球，并保护自己的气球不被别人踩到，同时孩子不能掉下来，谁最后脚上还有气球就为胜。

参赛的美女妈妈们和小美女小帅哥们合影。妈妈们都很眼疾“脚”快，尽管背着宝宝们，但是身手仍然敏捷快速，场上气球接连嘭嘭爆破，气氛很热烈，很欢快。

第二个游戏是：穿爸爸的鞋

幼儿穿着爸爸的鞋站在起点，爸爸赤脚站在终点。游戏开始，孩子穿着爸爸的鞋跑到终点将鞋子脱下给爸爸穿上，然后爸爸抱着孩子跑回起点。下一家庭继续进行，先完成的一组为胜。

穿着爸爸大大的鞋的参赛小选手，以及和他们相对而站的的爸爸们。小朋友们虽然穿着鞋不合脚，但是跑的速度也不慢，爸爸们更是手脚麻利地穿上鞋抱起孩子飞快地奔到了起点。

非常高兴认识了一些新朋友，和老朋友们又聚在了一起，大家在2012年新年伊始聚在一起，为新一年的聚会打下了基础。我们要一如既往坚持把吃吃喝喝玩玩闹闹的精神贯彻下去。

龙年元旦聚会美食篇

一月二日，2012的新年伊始，我们CCFA的新老成员，各位朋友又快快乐乐地聚在了一起，品美味，吃饺子，话家常，做游戏，开心地度过了新年的第一次聚会。

以下是各家带的美食，按照照相的顺序，不分先后。当时比较繁忙，有些美食忘记拍了，请见谅。

2012 New Year's Party

It is a ‘Bring and Share’: in order to celebrate the year of Dragon, we will have dumplings, the must-have food of the holiday. Please bring dumplings to share or dishes if you wish instead. The duplings can be either cooked or raw, and also can be home-made or ready made.

In order to prepare for drinks, please confirm your attendance by 31 Dec. 2011 at the latest.

If you want to bring a friend, or friends – that is fine!!

圣诞老人驾到。

中文学校的小同学们。

圣诞节对于孩子来说是充满欢乐、礼物和惊喜的日子，传说中的圣诞老人更是孩子心中在圣诞节最企盼看到的人。

今天是中文学校第一学期的最后一次课。在课程结束后，中文学校迎来了一位神秘的客人，给小朋友们带了一份惊喜和礼物。

圣诞老人来到了中文教室，惹来了小朋友们一阵快乐的惊呼和热烈的掌声。

一位家长非常热心地穿上圣诞老人的代表红套装，黑色的腰带，白色的胡子，和大红色的喜庆圣诞帽，变身成为一个“圣诞老人”，背着红色礼品袋子，给努力学习，认真听讲勤奋的学生们带来了精心准备的圣诞礼品。

教室里洋溢着浓浓的节日气氛，同学们惊喜地抽圣诞礼品和兴高采烈与圣诞老人一起合影。

祝小朋友们圣诞节快乐，下学期再见。

CCFA gathering on 26th December

Dear All,

CCFA is going to host a gathering at Chaplaincy from 3:30pm to 8pm on 26th/Dec.

We encourage every family to bring in food to share since we have not had this kind of activity for a long time. Please also prepare one gift, which is not expensive than £3, for each of your children so they can be cheered up by involving in Secret Santa.

It will be appreciated if you could please confirm your attendance by 12.00 noon Friday 23 December at the latest for catering and activities purposes.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you and your family Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
