Stupis things I have done recently

It occurred to me earlier that I have done several stupid things recently. I tend to do stupid things a lot, being a generally stupid person. These were some of the worse ones;

Got on the bus the other day and it started driving off before I had paid and I only had 4p on me (but the driver still let me get away with it!!).

Have had WAY too much beer over the last week or so. I don't even like beer.

Smacked myself in the face with a box of boots at work on Sunday then walked into the door of the footwear cupboard.

Fell asleep at MY OWN PARTY. Lame.

Told Bruce to "piss off" when I was drunk (sorry mate).

Went to Top B, got totally off my face to the point that I thought I was going home on the bus and I was actually in Andy's car, and then did it again one week later (but much fun was had. Awesome).

Spent one hour completing a maths quiz on the BBC website (but I did get 17 out of 20, which was a boon).

Got home from said Top B, sat down and realised there was blood on my hand. Don't know where it came from.

Forgot the clocks had gone back and subsequently thought I was an hour late for work until my mistake was helpfully pointed out.

Fell asleep AT MY OWN PARTY. Yeah, I know I've mentioned it twice now but I'm really disappointed in myself. You lose, Molloy.

Ah well, never mind.

On a completely arbitrary (but could be argued related – see *) note, it's the first UWCC AGM tomorrow night and I'm particularly worried about it. I am also quite impressed with myself for not only being the first female president of CC, but I'm also chairing the first AGM. Ever. In thirty-odd years. Crikey. It was actually Chris's idea, but don't tell him I said that. I know I'm going to get confuesd with all those in favour and those against and abstentions and all the rest of it. Perhaps I shall get drunk beforehand. Yes, that will do.

Can't believe it's week 6 already. Where is my life going?!

  • – it can actually be classed as a stupid thing I've done as I agreed with Chris that it would be a good idea to have one. Then remembered if we had one, I'dhave to be in charge. D'oh.

The Joy of Procrastination

Things I have today in order to escape revision-ness;
1. Cleaned kitchen. By this I mean bleach sinks and floor, clean all work surfaces and cupboard doors, clean out fridge. Time wasted; 180 mins.
2. Hoovered. Time wasted; 10 mins (Jimbo came and asked me if I could do it at another time as he was trying to revise).
3. Changed hoover bag. Time wasted; 40 mins (took me quite a while to work it out).
4. Cleaned bathroom. Time wasted; 20 mins.
5. Did washing. Time wasted; 10 mins.
6. Ironed. Time wasted; 20 mins.
7. Texted Andy. Several times about totally pointless things. Time wasted; 7 1/2 mins.
8. Got angry as Andy was teaching and so couldn't reply. Time wasted; 4 mins.
9. Dowloaded ringtones from internet for new phone. Time wasted; 90 mins (have to listen to them all first in order to assess which ones are truly wanted).
10. General dossing about on said internet for 'useful' things. Time wasted; 2 1/2 HOURS.
11. Remembering this time last year when it was my 6 month anniversary with Andy. And the picnic in Jephson Gardens we had to celebrate. Time wasted; 10 mins.
12. Contemplating what to do for 18 month anniversary with Andy tomorrow. Time wasted; 40 mins (and the best I could come up with was a picnic. On my bedroom floor.).
13. Played with sparkly new phone. Took pictures of everything. Time wasted; 10 mins.
14. Added to blog. Time wasted; 20 mins.
15. Listened to The Eclection. Obviously paramount to listen and support boyfriend. Andrew is actually incredibly good on the radio. He has the voice for it. Also listen on wednesday at 7. Time wasted; 60 mins.

TOTAL TIME WASTED; Over 11 hours.
TIME UNTIL EXAMS START; 17 days.

Oh dear.

Grief.

How do you know if you've grieved enough?

I've just suffered a loss in my close family, and I'm still feeling the effects of it (which I fully expect will carry on until through the next three weeks at least).

Very few of my friends are aware of this, as it mainly happens when I am on my own in my room. However, very few actually understand how I feel as they have never experienced it themselves.

Throughout this very hard time, I have had to remain strong for the sake of my mum, and then when I feel like having a little cry, I feel guilty for umleashing it on thse around me, although I know my housemates etc. are more than willing to support me.

Guess it's just me being daft. Silly Molloy.

Breaking news! Latest Stagecoach entry

Just a quick one. Want to go sleeps.

Last week waited for a bus for half an hour. Given that they are supposed to run every 10 mins during the day, I thought I should have encountered at least 2. Anyway, one finally arrived, and we got from the bus stop at Kelsey's to the Parish Church where we proceeded to wait for another 10 mins. We then eventually pulled away and got from the Parish Church to Pizza Express and the bus broke down. So we had to get off anf wait for the next one, except just as we got off, one went past and didn't see us. Was the next bus 10 minutes in picking us up? No. IT WAS ANOTHER HALF AN HOUR.

New route: annoying.

That is all.

Yay for Stagecoach Mark II

Had another interesting experience on a Stagecoach vehicle this evening, and unfortunately it wasn't pleasant and didn't involve the crazy woman. It was also made so much worse by the fact I was nursing the most savage hangover possible – reasons for this will become clear in a moment…

So, was on the bus with a hangover which was bad enough. I could rant on about that for a whole entry in itself, but won't. So, was on the bus with a hangover. Got to the stop outside Varsity and the gatehouse, where I watched a young chap down most of a can of lager (it looked like Carlsberg from a distance, but I didn't have my glasses on. It was minging), and then proceeded to vomit. He then got on the bus, and between that bus stop and the next (outside the Maths block – all of about 100 yards), he had managed to be sick ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE. And it was of the most projectile kind. It was absolutely vile for several reasons;
a) vomit. Yuck.
b) When I am drunk to the point that I feel I may be a bit ill, I DON'T GET ON A BUS.
c) he was totally unashamed at having done this. Was he an alien?
d) his friend told him to go to the toilet in Rootes to sort himself out, and he decided it would be best to go straight home. Wonder how much more he vomited on the way home.

I saw Sel who was just about to get on the bus to come home from campus, and I warned him about this drunken beast. The next time I see him I will enquire as to the outcome of this unfortunate chap.

But now I am going to go in the bath and await the arrival of my wonderful boyfriend, whom I havn't seen for hours and hours and wish to cuddle muchly following the events of last night.

Boys.

Will anyone ever understand how boys work? I'm totally in the dark when it comes to working them out.

For example, last night, Bambi and I had an argument. I hate arguing with anyone, especially Bambi, but all people argue and it's just one of those things in life. There'd be something wrong with you if you didn't argue. I'm one of those people who bottle up all of their feelings and problems and then (normally when I've had a bottle of wine…) they all come tumbling out. I know it's not the right attitide to have, and I don't make sense when I do it, but I feel a burden if I do otherwise and that's just the way I am (phew, breathe).

Anyway, this happened last night and I unleashed a whole rant on him. About him. And things he had done to upset me. And I'm not just talking about little things that niggle at me. Things that really upset me. And I know he doesn't mean to do them, and I love him to the ends of the earth, but that makes it all the more difficult really. And so I got upset with him, and he got upset that I was upset with him. But then he expected me to apologise to him. I did, of course, because I felt really guilty about upsetting him. And he also apologised to me, I might point out.

But then he sent me an email, telling me I was the guilty party in the whole situation, but never mind, as he forgave me.

Erm, hello? There have been things breaking my heart for the past couple of months, and then when I tell him – in order to make things better between us – I'm the one who has to work for his forgiveness. What???? Men.

Anyway, I think things are ok now. And what is the obsession with quiz machines?
"Wahey, I've won £5!"
"How much did you put in?"
"£10. But I still won! Drinks are on me."

I knew he was a strange one when I met him. But it was a dark night and everyone else had gone home…

Hooray for Stagecoach

Amusing things seem to happen on Stagecoach buses. They always seem to happen to Jimbo (and sometimes Rob too), but very very occasionally I will be lucky enough to witness something funny. For example;

Two weeks ago I was on the bus coming onto campus, and as some people got off at the University House stop, the drunkard who had got on at Kenilworth shouted after them, "Thank you for flying with Stagecoach!"

Last week, an old woman got on the bus at the top of the Parade. I was on a seat on my own, and nearer to me was a copy of that day's Metro publication. The lady asked me to pass it to her, which I did, and she then said "Oh, you are a lovely girl!" and proceeded to give me half a bag of grapes. She then went and gave the bus driver the rest of the bag of grapes for driving the bus. As I got off, she called after me, "Bye, Emily!"

It later occurred to me that I had met that same old lady at the bus stop at the top of the Parade last year after coming home from Bambi's one day, only she was going in the opposite direction, and that time she called me Harriet, and said hello to everyone that walked past the bus stop.

She's cool. I hope I'm like her when I grow up.
