Meet Africa's first Black Billionaire
Writing about web page http://www.forbes.com/lists/2008/10/billionaires08_Aliko-Dangote_64RI.html

His name is Aliko Dangote, and yes he is a born and breed Nigerian industrialist whose net worth according to Forbes is an estimated $3.3bn which stemmed from seed capital borrowed from his uncle.
And no, he is not a corrupted government official or former head of state; he is a pure capitalist business man that slowly built his empire over 25 years.
His name again.....Aliko Dangote
His empire includes the number one sugar production company in Nigeria & West Africa, a cement factory, refineries, real estate, petroleum distribution, agriculture and food production that includes a virtual monopoly on the production of pasta in Nigeria.
His was ranked #334 in Forbes World's Billionaires list.
I think the Dangote Group corporate website is in need of a major overhaul, and should consult me if they any help sorting them out ;)
Another black African billionaire...
Note that another black African by the name of Patrice Motsepe also made Forbe's list at #503 with an estimated net worth of $2.4bn. He is a self made South African Mining magnate and has a very impressive profile.
