  1. reading alone isn't going to resolve the big old existential crisis you're clearly having, thats for sure. at best, it will, as you say, give it new shapes and forms, and perhaps suggest ways to overcome it. ultimately the only escape from the contradictions of living is for you to actually do something about it, innit. you could try asceticism, you could imbue life with your own goals and meanings, or you could embrace your will and take it to its conclusion, to become what you are, or something.

    such options ARE open to you, as you well know. reading schopenhauer, and sartre, and nietzsche, and other people with fancy foreign names, can make you clearer about such possibilities. But theyre all still empty until you make something of them.
