This blog is about the Big Dress, which is coming to the University of Warwick in October 2007! The Big Dress is a the world’s largest dress, and was made by SPEAK as a physical protest against corporate irresbonsibility and sweatshop labour. It is over two storeys high, has a diameter of 22m and is made up from foot by foot squares of fabric sewn together. Each square of fabric has written upon it a message of protest, calling for change in company and corporate responsibility laws.

The blog is being managed at present by Jill Atkinson and Chris Boden. Jill is the Dark Lord and mistress of Speak at Warwick University. She is fairly distinctive, being a female engineer from Northern Ireland, and can often be cought drinking hot water in the chaplaincy. Chris is lovingly referred to as minion #3 and is the Big Dress coordinator. He can often be found in the chaplaincy or anywhere which sells alcohol. He is also obsessed by Taize.
