Classes update and Performance opportunities

Hello!

Ok, Classes are still MONDAYS 7-8pm and the venue is the Westwood science block room MS101. If you need help finding the room/building and need directions or haven’t ever been to Westwood before email the society and we’ll give you all the info you need!

ALSO – we’re going to start teaching choreography classes for the Warwick Tap Show, Saturday week 4, term 2. We’ve choreographed a very atmospheric tribal bellydance number and classes to teach the dance will begin this wednesday, 7pm in Social Studies room S0.09 and will continue every wednesday until the performance date.
The dance is beginners level upwards so even if you’ve only just started bellydancing you’re most welcome to come and perform! All you have to be able to do is commit to the performance date and make the rehearsal times!
Any questions, please feel free to email us!

See you soon!!!

TERM 3 CLASSES & WSAF

Hey there Belly Queens/Kings!

Ok, classes for this term will be working towards a performance at the WSAF opening event on Sunday 18th June. We'll be working on choreographing this piece throughout the classes we have scheduled and because we're working towards a specific event we need 100% commitment! :)

This is a fantastic opportunity for you guys to perform and put all those smooth moves that you've been learning in class into practice! It'll also be a great chance for us to put Bellysoc in the limelight and make ourselves known on campus as an active presence!

But DONT WORRY! The dance will be easy to learn and fun, plus you get to design some cool tribal costumes too! The dance will be a tribal fusion dance which means we'll be performing to rock music – a little different from the usual Arabic beats…but just as hot :) There will also be optional solos up for grabs if any of you feel like stealing the show :)

Ok, so class times are:

Wednesday week 5 (this week) 4-6pm COOLER

Wednesday week 6 (24th may) 4-5pm COOLER

Wednesday week 7 (31st may) 4-6pm COOLER

Wednesday week 9 (14th June) 4-6pm COOLER

It's only a couple of hours a week out of your revision and the exercise will do wonders for your energy ;) If there is a very good reason for not being able to make rehearsal (eg. an exam) contact us and we'll try and work something out.
