Welcome to Warwick, and thanks for all the fish
Hey guys.
I've now sent in my photo, enrolled, registered for everything etc.
So yea…. here I am on the 12th of September bored out of my mind and waiting to move :D
I still have to call….gas company, credit card company, LEA, SLC, and a load of other people. :( But that can all wait until England have won the Ashes! (hahaha Kate)
Its hard to believe this is actually happening, its surreal. All I gotta do now is hang on and go for the ride.
Should I buy a platinum freshers card? I've decided I'll prob go to about half the events…maybe the freshers ball, maybe not!
Anyway, welcome to my blog. It'll describe the trials, tribulations, and adventures of a life at Warwick University :)
Comment etc etc if you like.
I'm out!

I bought the gold card (or whatever it's called now) and found it wasn't really worth it, better to have the flexibility rather than to feel that you've paid for something you end up not going to!

Thanks Thomas, Advice has been well received :)
Any other free tips for freshers and beyond?

Ignore tips and do it your own way!!
You lot start Warwick the day after I leave here after 3 years. Enjoy it. (Don't ignore that tip!)

The gold card is worth buying if you know you'll go to the freshers ball (as the ball itself is half of what you buy the card for, assuming prices haven;t changed), so you only need to go to about 4 or 5 other events and you've got your money back, plus not having to queue is a great bonus.

Helen I'll be arriving 3 days before you leave it seems. The time for me to depart seems so distant currently….
As for the freshers ball, I'm not sure whether its worth going! Apparently its just a normal night charged up to the eyeballs. I like the idea of never queuing for events though. I've got a job for IT services too in the residences helping folks set up their connections etc, so I dont know my time schedule yet.
